Westen was racing by at Bar 2 Bar today, he had a terrible accident, here is an update from Nicole (mom) Dr Grundmeyer just came in and talked to us, He was able to get the rods and screws all the way through T2-T6 even the ones T3/T4 which were crushed. The spinal cord is no longer crushed. He also has a blood clot which they removed. Now we wait and see if the signals come back down the spine. Dr said he has significant damage so only time will tell as Westin still has no feeling from the chest down. They will start physical therapy tomorrow and he will be in a back brace.
