Medical Expenses for Van Wisse Family

**Update, February 26, 2024**

The last week has been a whirlwind; Antony's funeral Monday 2/19, both kids ill with the flu, and a much needed overnight to the family's ranch in LaGrange over the weekend.

Jane Anne is in shock - and awe - of the generosity of this community. From neighbors mowing yards and changing oil to rides to and from school for the kids and a true community effort to help Harrison power through taking his ongoing medications - the entire family has been touched by the compassion they are seeing at every turn.

Next steps include sorting through Antony's affairs, counseling, and trying to maintain a sense of routine and balance for the children. Jane Anne has agreed some help with meals would be useful as she works through next steps, and accordingly, a meal train is being set up for those who are local and moved to assist in this way.

The Van Wisse family is experiencing unexpected and incredibly tough circumstances resulting in significant medical expenses. Devoted father and entrepreneur Antony Van Wisse passed away Friday, February 16th after a courageous battle with cancer. Just weeks before, his son Harrison (6) was hospitalized for 7 days with extensive complications from an ear infection, including a 4.5 hour surgery and IV antibiotics which are ongoing.

The family's wonderful network of family and friends has stepped up during these trials to support the family with immediate needs including food and care for the children. An initial collection outside of GoFundMe to support counseling expenses for mother and widow Jane Anne, Harrison, and sweet Margaret (3) will undoubtedly need moving forward has already been delivered and received with much gratitude.

Jane Anne has shown incredible strength and endurance facing these trials, providing unwavering love and support for her family while navigating her own grief. Medical expenses from Antony and Harrison are anticipated to be extensive and in an effort to show support for Jane Anne as she begins a new and painful chapter we have received her permission to initiate this GoFundMe to help alleviate some of the financial burden associated with this season.
