Dear Fellow Blackhawks, Friends, and Family,

We’re reaching out to let you know that we are kicking off a campaign to help Stephenie Nichols Moore and her children, and we need your help!

You may have heard that Stephenie recently went through a life changing surgery. Ten days later she endured a 2nd surgery in attempts to save her life. There is no way to know at this point what Stephenie's medical costs will total.

We all love Stephenie because she has a fierce spirit and inspires so many of us in our community to be their best. As a teacher, she often stays overtime at school working with so many of our kids, sacrificing precious time she could be spending with her own kids.

The effects of these surgeries are devastating her and her children, however. The prognosis, which is not yet completely known, will be lifelong and will have continuously changing medical conditions and needs.

We can’t cure or heal Stephenie, but we can help ease the financial burden and resultant stress that she and her children are facing. Our goal is to raise the entire $10,000 for her.

If you can’t afford to give yourself, please think about pledging to fundraise from your own friends and family on her behalf. If you can attract 10 donations of $25, it would have a great impact.

Another way is to contact Stephenie and help with ride sharing to and from Dr visits.

Our small community in Phillips, Texas was more than just neighbors, we were and always will be family. We know what a huge heart Stephenie has for each of us and she will pay this forward as she heals.
