Recently, my 6-year-old husky Sky tore her ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) in her right back leg. I have had Sky for 5 years and adopted her from a local shelter. Since I have had Sky, we have been on countless adventures and I can easily say that she is my best friend. 

Upon taking Sky to a vet and performing x-rays, the only treatment option provided would be a TPLO (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy) surgery to repair the complete tear of her ACL. I have called multiple veterinary clinics in the central valley to receive quotes for this surgery and they seem to all range from $2500-3500. My goal is $2000 because I will be allocating all of the funds that I have available as well. 

Being a graduate student, my income is limited, but this surgery is very time-sensitive according to the vet. The longer that the surgery is put off, the more likely Sky will not make a full recovery. Sky's quality of life is my number one priority and I just want to be able to continue to make memories with my best friend. Any amount of money is greatly appreciated and if that isn't possible, just a share would be great!
