Medical Expenses for Robinson Family

I gave birth to a gorgeous 34 week old baby boy on 08/18/2021 at 1400 hours. I labored for 3, nearly 4 days, the medication given to stop labor failed, my epidural failed and my uterus ruptured and is displaced. I had seizures during labor and in the NICU while I was visiting our son and holding him for the first time. My blood volume had gotten down to critical levels due to a rare blood disorder. I am currently stable, I’ve been given blood transfusions due to critically low blood volume and have been on 24 hour EEG monitoring due to seizing during labor and yesterday in the NICU when I went to hold our son for the first time. I have had significant left sided weakness/immobility and intense back pain paired with a migraine. I’m still bleeding so we are closely monitoring that. They’re thinking that I may have stroked during my seizures and will be getting a CT of my brain and possibly an MRI.

Our sweet boy is still having a hard time breathing and eating on his own. We spoke with the NICU doctor and they have determined that it will likely be a month or more until our baby boy is able to come home. He is so strong and resilient, he’s made it through so much already. We are so proud to be his parents. He gets kangaroo time with daddy and his feedings through his NG tube. His oxygen requirements have gone up so that they can keep him comfortable.

I am unable to see my son until I am completely stable so his daddy has been back and forth between us. We couldn’t do any of this without him and I’m so blessed to have this man as my husband and daddy to our baby. He has been such a rock through all of this.

Tristan has been in the hospital with me since Monday and hasn’t been able to work due to mine and our son’s needs. It’s going to be a very long road and we are terrified. We live an hour and a half away from the hospital so gas, food, lodging, and medical bills on top of our regular bills will be piling up. Thank you in advance for any and all donations.
