Medical Expenses for Philip Reilly

Hi! My name is Jena and I'm here to fundraise for my dear friend, Philip.

On Friday, February 23rd, Philip suffered an unfortunate accident that has left him with a tibial plateau fracture, needing immediate surgery so that he can walk again.

As many of you know, Philip is a successful Chef that runs his own catering company in San Juan, Puerto Rico. His success and livelihood rely on his ability to work, create and cook. Philip is incredibly hardworking, independent and self sufficient and this injury has created a precarious situation. While I know that he is reluctant to ask for help and is not one to ask for "a handout," a little bit of extra financial help will make it possible for him to return to his feet sooner than later and return to working again to recover from this. This injury has currently made it impossible for Philip to work (for what could be several months) as he undergoes surgery, healing and physical therapy.

While Philip had insurance at the time of his accident, as we all know, insurance only covers so much and he is left with substantial costs to cover medical expenses as well as his personal expenses during the time he is unable to work.

An unprecedented injury like this is incredibly taxing and can leave people feeling stressed about the future. This is why I am asking for any financial support that can be extended to Philip to help him with medical expenses and carry him through the next couple of months of recovery so he can focus on his physical rehabilitation, healing and not have the added stress of everything else.
