My 42 yo younger brother Peter Jr Soler, (Jr to me) has been in The Neuro Intensive Care Unit or N-ICU at St Mary's hospital in Saginaw MI since 1-26-2020 d/t having a head bleed. He's had 2 brain aneurysms that burst when he was 15 that are now clamped. So being through this before, and now with 5 children, the youngest being born 1-18-20, 1yo, 3yo, andtwin 10yo, his world has been turned upside down at this time.
My heart is heavy and I'd like to help in any way I can, so please share this to help with any out of pocket costs, copays and financial needs while off work through this ordeal. 27 years ago the medical bills were over 1.2 million dollars. He's expecting a 2 wk stay in NICU at the least, with a CT and ultrasound of the brain every morning to check for active bleeding and any increased cranial pressure, also another angiogram of the brain is scheduled for Wednesday as the 1st on on sunday couldn't pinpoint the bleed source. He also has an arterial line in place to read the blood pressure in real time to monitor any acute changes, and is given medicine every couple hours to prevent strokes or seizures with blood in the brain.
He is still having headaches but the nausea has passed, thank God. One of the hardest things rn for him is not seeing his kids, so they FaceTime as they can.
So my thoughts are to help wherever I can, with the kids as Mary's with my brother in NICU, with medical bills and costs that arrive-during this difficult time and giving anyone else the chance to help if able and willing. He does have health insurance through his employer, but there will be charges he has to pay and time off work needed with whatever procedures need to be done. Prayers needed above all things. I don't want Jr and Mary to worry about anything. I want them to know, its gonna be ok, no matter what, even if it's not, it will be, because of HIM, God.
