End of Life Expenses for Peter Klitzka
Donation protected
Over the last month, Peter has been receiving treatment with a neuro-oncologist in Milwaukee in hopes to help treat the tumors in his brain. Our family had high hopes that this new, aggressive treatment would be successful. On Monday, June 24th, Peter was scheduled to have a visit with his doctor in Milwaukee to check his progress, but the decision was made to instead bring him to the emergency room in Green Bay due to complications he was facing during the night and that morning. Unfortunately, within the last 24 hours, Peter has been placed into hospice care due to the significant increase in his cancer lesions both in his brain and adrenal gland. It is expected that he will only have a matter of days left, as his condition continues to decline. Our family is beginning to make arrangements for after he passes away, which adds to the financial burden that we are already facing. Thank you for the prayers and love over the past year, and any help will be greatly appreciated. We love you Pete!
PREVIOUS POST:
Peter was diagnosed with Melanoma in 2012, just a year before his wife passed away from breast cancer. This left him as a single father to their two children, Taylor and Logan. In total, Peter has 7 children who are desperate to see their father get a chance to be healthy again. Unfortunately, in the last few years, the cancer metastasized to his organs and brain. A few months ago, his condition worsened as his cancer continued to spread, and he faced multiple complications. He is currently participating in a clinical trial that is helping him fight the cancer throughout his body, however the cancer in his brain and adrenal gland is failing to respond to the treatment. Peter is in the process of reaching out to other hospitals that have a better potential to help him. Because of this, he will now be facing significant travel expenses along with the high medical costs that come with cancer treatment. Peter’s condition has taken his ability to continue working and his disability only covers the roof over his family’s head and some necessities. At this point, it is so important for him to be able to focus on getting the treatment he needs in order to get better and to enjoy his life rather than being overwhelmed by the stress of financial hardship.
