We are raising money to help ease the burden of the medical expenses for Payton Denmark’s family. She is a beautiful eight year old little girl who lives in Selma, Al. Her mother recently had scheduled an annual eye exam for both her children. Payton had no complaints of vision loss or any symptoms.  The family’s local Optometrist in Selma diagnosed her with Optic Atrophy of unknown etiology and referred her to Birmingham to a neurological ophthalmologist and she was found to have a brain tumor pressing on the optic chiasm, causing the optic atrophy. She has met with a pediatric neurosurgeon for a biopsy and will proceed with chemo and radiation in hopes of shrinking the tumor. This sweet family will be spending a lot of nights in hotels, high deductibles, and missed days of work. The last thing they need to worry about is how they will pay for the expenses.
