Funeral Expenses for Olinda Christina Batrez
Donation protected
At the end of last year, our dear friend, Olinda (Christina) felt ill and went to the hospital and was told that she needed to rush home to get an emergency surgery to remove her gallbladder. By the beginning of this year she again felt extremely tired and in a lot of pain. She was in the hospital for over a week and was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in her pancreas, stomach, and intestine.
The cancer was so far along that chemo or surgery was not possible as she was already too weak. In the matter of 3 months, this loving mother, grandmother, and overall wonderful person went from the happy and active person she had always been to barely being able to walk from the pain. Two weeks ago the doctors told her family that she had only 6 months left to live. She was sent home with medications but not even a week later she was back in the hospital with even more pain. The doctors told her that she had developed blood clots in her stomach and that she had less than 3 months to live.
Unfortunately, Olinda (Christina) passed away on Thursday February 28, 2019. While her family was trying their hardest to keep up with expenses, the bills piled up. Her two children had been forced to take time off of work in order to take care of their mother as she required 24/7 care. As you can see this has happened in such a short period of time with no time to save up for this unfortunate event. Olinda (Christina) was always there for her friends, family, and even strangers; it is now our time to pull together and be there for her family in this great time of need. Donations will be used to cover funeral expenses and any medical bills.
Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you and God Bless!
