Medical expenses for Mother on life support in Punjab

My name is Jasleen Kaur and I am starting this Go Fund Me page for my friend Raj who is in Canada alone and has been working tirelessly to support herself and build a life here.

Unfortunately, Raj has received news that her widowed mother has been in a serious car accident in Punjab, and is now in critical condition. Raj’s mother has multiple rib fractures among other injuries and has been on life support since beginning of June. Though the doctors are doing their best to assist with aunty’s recovery, it will be a long journey to get back to a stable or normal condition.

The money we are raising is to support the expenses of Raj’s mother’s medical costs at Fortis Hospital in Amritsar, Punjab. There may be additional expenses once aunty has returned to a stable condition and is hopefully discharged, such as home care support or rehabilitation treatment. We will continue to update this page as aunty’s situation develops.

Any one of us in this situation would want to be with our parent and do our duty as children to take care of them. So we can only imagine how traumatic it is for Raj to be on the other side of the world while aunty is in critical condition in the hospital.

I understand that these are tough economic times for many of us, but if everyone can even contribute a few dollars, we can support our friend Raj and their mother through this extremely challenging time.
