Medical Expenses for Missi Treece
Donation protected

Here is a letter from Missi's husband Cory.
Dear Family and Friends,
First let me start by saying that this sort of thing is not something that I feel comfortable doing. In fact, I think many of you that know me and Missi well know that we try to keep things private with regards to personal matters. With that said, I am in a situation where I need help.
In the spring of 2014, after a couple years of seeing several different specialists, my wife Missi was diagnosed with a benign pituitary tumor. She is experiencing many different symptoms, some of which are drastically changing her quality of life. Recently her latest MRI showed a significant growth in the tumor, which is starting to encroach on her optic nerve causing vision issues among other problems.
Since her diagnosis, Missi has seen several specialists to determine a course of treatment. She has been to neurologists, ophthalmologists, endocrinologists, pain management specialists, neuro ophthalmologists, and finally a neurosurgeon to discuss the steps to getting the tumor removed. This has been quite an adventure mentally and financially to get to where we are today. However, we have recently hit a roadblock with her doctors, which has delayed surgery indefinitely.
This week, I have decided to take matters into my own hands. Thanks to the recommendation of a friend, I have contacted the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix to finally put an end to years of Missi’s health struggles. The Mayo Clinic has been credited with developing the Endoscopic Transnasal Transsphenoidal approach, a minimally invasive removal of the tumor through the nasal cavity. After a 30 minute conversation, I was able to set up appointments to see their specialists and, God willing, finally remove the tumor.
A majority of the medical costs are being covered by my health insurance. However, we are needing to raise money for multiple trips to and from Phoenix, along with any unforeseen expenses. This is where I need your help and any donation amount would be very much appreciated.
I thank all of you for any support you can give, and please keep Missi in your prayers as she gets the closure on a long and grueling journey that she deserves.
Love,
Cory
