Hi everyone, this will be long so I’m sorry if you don’t have the time to read everything. This isn’t easy for me to post, I’ve juggled this for weeks and leaned away from it from being embarrassed but it’s come to a point to let that go. About 2 1/2 months ago my family’s life changed pretty abruptly. I developed medical issues that were completely unexpected, and got a diagnosis for ‘slipping rib syndrome’ Im scheduled to undergo reconstruction surgery on March 3rd and praying to God my life starts coming back. I have been (not completely) but almost bed ridden for over 2 months now, and while it’s been hard for me it’s hitting my family harder. My husband has taken on the role as a full time parent with little help and the expenses have been drowning us. I’m still working from home, but not as much and right around the time this happened Doug’s job started trying to cut his hours. In almost 10 years I’ve never seen my husband under this amount of stress and pressure, and this is the only way I can think to help take some of that stress off of him. (He does not know I’m doing this & I won’t be sharing this with him right now) we have easily spent well over $10,000 in 2 months, having just paid $6000 for surgery last week, and immediately after $600 for a hotel for after surgery. We have had x ray after x ray and thousands on CT imaging, on top of that traveling back and forth from Houston where my surgeon is located. This has hit us HARD. I genuinely just want to see my husband happy again and pray that after surgery this will come to an end. ANYTHING helps, and we will be so grateful no matter what.
