Medical expenses for Maddie

My friend Jamie Allred's daughter Maddie is 14. She is a high school freshman cheerleader and soccer player. She recently sustained an injury that has caused her to lose her memory and ability to walk and eat among other things. While Maddie struggles to recover, her mother, Jamie, a nurse, is unable to work, as she is providing round-the-clock care for her daughter. She describes what's happened below:
"On March 26, while at church, our oldest daughter, Maddie, started to complain about not feeling well. We made the decision to leave the service early. As soon as we got to the atrium of our church, Maddie collapsed in my arms. An ambulance transported her to hospital #1. The hospital released her stating that she just had a mild concussion from a soccer game she played the day before. A few hours after we got home, Maddie was difficult to wake and was in an extremely confused state of mind. We rushed her to Methodist Richardson who admitted her to Children’s Dallas. After a CT scan, MRI, EEG, and spinal tap, we are still left with few answers. Some therapists are convinced that she had a mild stroke. We are home now learning how to walk, eat, drink, read, and remember again. Maddie requires around the clock care which has taken me away from my outside of the house job."
