Medical expenses for Lupe Garcia & Family
Donation protected
Hi all,
Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you for the continued support over the years. The prayers, well wishes, video calls and in person visits are so appreciated and Lupe values her community so much. Thank you.
Lupe is one of the hardest working people you’ll ever meet. Whether it was working (simultaneously!!) her beloved full time job at West Side Dental, serving up pizza as a lunch lady at St Matthews, monitoring the halls of CDH, working at Target in the freezer to fund a school trip for akoni (which she went on to stay at for years!), working nights and weekends at the Xcel and Target Center to pay for an education she believed in for her kids. She was there, ready to do the job at hand and to do a great job at it. If you know anything about Lupe you know she will do everything within her power to support her family and her community. She is an incredibly selfless human.
This is a time where we are asking you, our community for your support.
As you may know, Lupe has been courageously battling an severe recurrence of cancer since 2016. Nearly 20 years ago, Lupe was first diagnosed a rare “wild type” of stomach cancer, that had no cure. After rounds of chemo for a few years she was free from cancer and was given news the cancer was in remission. After getting sick in 2016 we discovered the cancer had come back and this time much more
aggressively. Lupe has been in and out of the hospital as the cancer she battled spread from her stomach to her liver and lungs.
Recent complications have resulted in several hospital stays and the need for in-home medical care is the next step in Lupe’s care plan. For as helpful as her medical team has been—she desires to be cared for at home.
The situation represents a financial burden for the family. Currently we do not know would future costs of care will be when in-home care begins. If you are able, please consider a contribution to help Lupe Garcia and her family during this difficult time. Funds will be used as Lupe directs to cover the cost of her medical care, recent hospital stays (3 in the last month), in-home care, any donations that exceed the cost of care will be used to support Lupe and her husband Tony Garcia as they continue to navigate this difficult process.
Lupe is the proud mother of 5: Jose, Sabrina, Daniella, Akoni and Sarah
A happy grandmother of 4: Melodie, Aubriana, Maya and Alejandra aka Chunka
Her partner in life Timothy (Tony) Garcia
We love you so much Mom! Although this fight has been a tough one- we see your bravery, strength, determination and your hard work through everyday. The world is a better place because of you.
Keep up the fight, live strong.
