Ryan and Dawn Yoder welcomed Luke Lane into this world April 27.  Until the 31st he was back and forth from Wesley Medical Center as the doctors tried to figure out how to help him. April 30th he had surgery to allow movement of his jaw and tongue. April 31st he was taken to Welsey because of breathing trouble. May 1st he was airlifted to Children's Mercy in Kansas City, Missouri.
Luke is currently diagnosed with "Hypoplastic Left Heart Variant". This is where the left side of his heart, particularly the aortic vessel, is much too small to allow enough blood flow. The anticipated remedy is a surgery to get the left side of his heart working as soon as possible. This condition has a trickle-down effect to negatively affect many other parts of his body. One of these effects is a metabolic disorder with the classification of "Organic Acidemia".  Also, the PH levels throughout the rest of his body are too low.  Because of the "HLHV" his liver and kidneys are not functioning properly, and he has symptoms that were initially mistaken for pneumonia - eg the trouble breathing.
We don't know yet what all his expenses will be, once we have an idea I'll update the goal. However I'm sure his parents don't have the funds to pay for what's incurred thus far, so they would certainly appreciate any amount you could offer. They would also covet your prayers.
