Please help this family! They don't need to think about medical expenses when their whole world has been turned upside down. Luis suffered an Ischemic Stroke and he's is fighting for his life at OHSU. He is young (just 31 yrs old) and

healthy, and one of the most incredibly kind people you'll ever come across. His wife Claudia Silva Guillén is by his side, and his little boy, Diego (2 yrs old) needs him to come home! Luis is from The Dalles. Let me tell you this, they would do anything to help others in need. They ask for your prayers as the next few days are critical. Pray hard. But let's help make

their journey to recovery just a little lighter if we can by donating even a little.

**UPDATE**

6:30pm update: NO CHANGE IN CT SCANS! Thank you lord!

*they successfully applied a central line to his neck to provide medication more efficient.

Going in for another CT scan pray for no changes. These are every 12 hrs PLEASE PRAY

Keeping an eye on his heart rate, randomly keeps going low. this is not what we want.

NURSE HAD ME ASK HIM QUESTIONS TO SEE IF HE WOULD NOD HIS HEAD

“Do you love me?” Nodded YES

“Do you want Brussels sprouts?” Nodded NO!

I’m crying because this is all such a roller coaster. I’m so happy right now though.

He’s breathing on his own but still has the breathing tube just in case.

His nurse just used a machine to measure his pupils and both pupils are the same size! No damage as of right now.

This is still not promising but definitely the kind of news we want.

*PRAY STRONGER PLEASE

Doctors talked to us to let us know that the next 3 to 5 days will be the most dangerous, that they will continue to monitor for inflammation or any other issues while he is sedated. They mentioned that due to the strokes that have taken place in his brain IF he were to have inflammation in the brain. If he has surgery in the skull he will have to be off the blood thinners that are stopping any strokes now, this would make him have a major stroke in the operating room and nothing can be done.

If the inflammation is left alone in his brain he would be brain dead. Right now we are praying for no inflammation. Doctors are having us decided in worse case scenario.

I don’t know how I have the ability to give this update but I know everyone deserves to know where he stands. Please once again continue praying because we need a miracle.-Claudia

*CT scan showed two additional strokes occur, however the MRI scan result revealed he has been fighting every second as he has endured larger strokes occurring frequently on the upper part of his brain. Right now Claudia has been informed it is life or death.

If he gets any swelling or inflammation they need to go in and remove part of the skull. Luis is the main focus in icu, his case is severe.
