The previous photo is of my mother from August..since then, she has lost over 30 pounds and her ability to take care of herself. Her cancer has since spread from her colon to her brain, spine, lungs, liver and bones. She is currently in ICU at Brookhaven hospital and the outlook is very bleak. She has her moments of lucidity, however most of the time is very hard to understand. She's confined to a bed and it breaks my heart to see her like this. I'm the only family she has to take care of her and the medical bills are piling up since she only has social security as a form of income. She doesn't have very long left and I desperately want to give her the memorial service she deserves. I understand that everyone has their own financial problems (especially this time of year) so anything you could afford to give would mean the world to us.
