“God is within her, she will not fall” Psalm 46:5
On August 9th 2021, Lacy Hopkins Sapp suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm. Since then she has been in ICU and has undergone multiple emergency surgeries, testing, and as you can imagine, ups and downs. This is just the beginning of a very long and difficult road to recovery. To most this is fatal, but by the power of God she is alive and fighting for her life with her husband Kevin by her side, all while Kevin has been trying to maintain normalcy at home for their children who have not been able to see their Mom due to Covid-19 visiting restrictions. She has a determined and optimistic team of doctors behind her giving her every tool in their arsenal to help her get back to the compassionate, kind, and beautiful Lacy we all know and love. As you can imagine this has put an enormous emotional and physical strain on her precious family. Their daughter, Gracyn has just started 8th grade at St. Mary’s Dominican High School, Lacy’s alma mater (class of 1993); their son Paxton started 6th grade at St. Ann School —this has been a very difficult start of the school year for their children.
The Sapp’s are the type of family to always lend a helping hand to those in need, asking for nothing in return and would never ask for help for themselves, even when they need it most; so we, their family are asking for them. This is one of those times, when they need it most, not just monetary support, but emotional and prayerful support. We realize everyone has their struggles, and have most likely been affected by the pandemic or Hurricane Ida in some way, shape or form. Please know our prayers and thoughts are with you for strength and resiliency. If you are unable to donate to the Sapp family, we ask that you pray for Lacy, Kevin, Gracyn, and Paxton. Lacy will make it through this, that is without question, but let’s give her all the support that we can.
