Medical Expenses for Kari Jones
Hello Friends, Family & Followers of our
beautiful friend Kari Jones!
Kari was recently inpatient at OSF for 13
days with a very serious infection. She was diagnosed with osteomyelitis in her left
foot and had to have her 2nd toe amputated. She then had to have a 2nd surgery to
remove part of a bone to make sure margins were clear of the infection. She’s been at home on her own for just about 3 weeks .
At this point she is still not able to put any weight on the foot as the incision is still
healing.
Kari will likely be off work for at
least another couple of weeks. The medical debt is a huge concern for her. She
currently has no income because she
doesn’t qualify for unemployment or
disability (for something like this.) since she is self-employed. She will owe 40% of 13 days in the hospital which-included an ER visit & 2 surgeries. She is estimating at least $35,000 in medical bills and likely more. If you’re like me and want to know how you can help her out— this is
it. She needs our financial support. I wanted to make special mention that Kari is typically on the giving end of situations and it is not easy to reach out for and accept help. However, the situation is dire and she is open to assistance.

days of IV antibiotics and her PICC line
comes out tomorrow. Please keep her in
