Medical Expenses for Julie Donovan

Hi, my name is Sally Gray, and my best friend Julie Donovan has been newly diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. She has completed two biopsies, MRI, a CAT scan, and numerous ultrasounds. She has recently tested positive for the BRCA 2 gene. This means double mastectomy and a high risk of ovarian cancer, so removal of ovaries is added to the list. In addition to the 5-6 hour surgery, she will receive reconstructive plastic surgery. Surgery is scheduled for August 23rd.

Anyone who knows Julie knows she will be your cheerleader! She will be the loudest one in the front row, cheering you on through any adventure you may be completing. She will be by your side through any need you may have and cheer you up every step of the way. Julie needs us now to be her cheerleader! She needs our support emotionally, spiritually, and financially. She would never ask anyone for any help. That is just the person she is. But as you can imagine, the medical bills keep rolling in even with health insurance. The last thing we want Julie to worry about is the cost of her survival against a disease that doesn't care. We want her to think about strength, recovery, and the future.

Julie is the mother of two wonderful children. Benjamin (10) and Emma Rose (5). She has been with her husband, Daniel (Danno) since she was 17. They recently celebrated their 20-year wedding anniversary. Julie has been teaching Zumba since 2019, she has truly found her passion for teaching and her students. She will be missing her dancing but only for a bit.

I am starting this page to help raise money to help cover medical expenses and to help provide any other comfort needs that Julie may need.
