Medical Expenses for Josh Konen

If you know Josh and Leah, you love them. The Konen's have been through so much in the last two years, so let's rally around them and support them as they move forward.

Josh was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis roughly five years ago. He tried all different treatments and diets and medications, about two years ago it got really out of control and leading to a long line of surgeries, temporary fixes and relief, a twisted bowel, more surgeries, a perforated bowel followed by more surgeries and countless ER visits. Josh will have had eight surgeries in the last two years, making it impossible for him to work this past year. These are the major events that have happened, not to mention all of the nuances, stress, anxiety, logistics, Leah balancing working and caring for Josh, Josh working so hard to get better and still working at his job as long as he could. As you can imagine, this process has taken a significant toll on them physically, emotionally and financially and has truly been all-consuming.

We are so grateful that Josh is now stable, but they are left with massive medical bills, one more surgery, necessary in-home medical supplies, the out-of-pocket cost of therapy for them both. Any money raised will go towards these expenses and living costs.

Even as they worked through so much suffering and so many unknowns, they still found time to bring meals to their friends, send birthday text messages, have friends over for dinner, and even offered to help paint our house(!). Josh and Leah are intentional givers and faithful friends, and we are so grateful to have them in our lives. I could go on about just how amazing these two are, how hard they work and how passionate they are about life and serving others, but if you know, you know.

Now is our chance to support them and ease their load as they move into this next chapter in more stable health! If you cannot give financially, please continue to pray for them as they heal and move forward.
