Jorgito Shqau is a senior at Plymouth High School. Jay, as he is known to his friends, is a passionate football player and track & field athlete. A cancerous tumor was discovered in Jay's ankle this past fall and doctors removed it along with part of his leg in January, when Jay underwent a transtibial amputation (the leg is amputated from the shin down). Jay and his family need help navigating unexpected medical expenses for the treatment incurred to date as well as future needs for prosthetics and other ongoing medical costs. Jay’s parents are long-time Canton residents, and his father recently went out on his own and opened an auto repair shop. Through all of this, Jay has maintained an optimistic attitude and with our community’s support, will be able to focus on his recovery.
