Medical Expenses for Jess Hill

On the morning of Friday 3/15/2024 my mom, Jessica Hill, was diagnosed with a (non-traumatic) ruptured aneurysmal intracranial hemorrhage. After a sudden intense headache and a loss of balance, her friend Jammie rushed her from roller derby practice to the emergency department. We are incredibly fortunate that my mother was able to be taken to IR for endovascular coiling of her aneurysm. My mom was admitted to the NCC (Neuro Critical Care) and is expected to be hospitalized for 21 days. My dad, Hayes, will be staying by her side in the NCC for a minimum of the next 10 days where they will frequently monitor her neurological status due to her risk of stroke.

This has been an especially terrifying time for all of us as my parents lost their best friend, Gabe, to the same diagnosis 4 years ago.

My family also recently lost our late grandmother, Joan (Hayes’ mother), less than 3 weeks ago on 02/27/2024.

My sister Joanie and I have decided to create this fundraiser in an effort to help meet my parent’s medical insurance deductible and to help alleviate any extra financial stressors that they may have while my dad is away from work.

We have debated whether or not to create this fundraiser because we know my parents would never want to ask anyone for help. But so many of my mom’s friends and family have reached out to ask us how they can help us; We have decided this is the best thing to do. If you share this fundraiser and are a close friend or family member whom they follow on social media, please hide your post. Our hope is to surprise them with funds and minimize their “embarrassment.”
