Medical Expenses for JC Lanier

May 19, 2023, JC Lanier was diagnosed with Metastatic Melanoma. This is an aggressive cancer and time is of the essence. Friends, family and coworkers are trying to raise money to help cover the cost of testing and treatment. Although insurance will help, it will not cover all the cost and the insurance company is delaying the testing that is needed asap. JC is not one to ask for help but in a time like this is when we can make a difference. JC has been working with the Florida Department of Corrections for 23 years, working several institutions including Hamilton, Suwannee, Mayo, and most recently joined our Central Office team in Tallahassee. JC began his career in Security promoting to the rank of Sergeant, moving to Classification, then now to his current position as a Correction Services Assistant Consultant in Central Office. Before DOC, JC was in the Marines- 8152 Security Forces from 1995-1999. He has a wife of 24 years, a 22-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old son.
