Due to an overwhelming request, I have decided to set this up for my fiancé, Jake Riley, who was shot in the back Saturday afternoon by a random stranger while playing in the 2nd round of the Kansas City Flying Disc Challenge at Cliff Drive.

He was rushed to Truman Medical Center for emergency surgery where they found holes in both his bowels and colon as well as a small fracture in his pelvis. He is on a ventilator and has remained sedated until his next surgery Monday morning where they plan to reattach his colon and close his stomach up if all goes well.

While he his lucky to be alive, he has a long road to recovery ahead of him and will be off of work for some time. If you don’t know Jake, you sure will know his goofy personality after playing a round of golf with him. Any and all help for his medical expenses as well as his time off work during this tragic time is appreciated beyond words.
