Our sweet Jacob was in a horrific accident on Saturday. He was with his girlfriend Brielle and his former mission companion and roommate Tanner. They had been in Mona, UT at the rope swing and got hit by a train as they were leaving. It is a rural area, no crossing arm, and trains infrequently pass by, many assume it's an abandoned track. We know they are not the first in this kind of accident there. Tanner and Brielle have passed away. Jake is currently on life support, he's had severe swelling in his brain and no evidence of brain activity since Saturday night. His prognosis is not good. His family flew out from Maryland on Sunday. We know they will have expensive medical costs and other forthcoming expenses. We love Jacob and know that he has touched many in his life.
