Hi Everyone,

Jack Hanley, our sweet father, suffered a stroke on Thursday, March 16. He spent a few days at the hospital and is now in an inpatient rehabilitation center. Luckily, he's lucid and is still his funny self, cracking jokes with us and his medical staff (and occasionally trying to escape to freedom - haha!). However, he still has slurred speech and weakness on his right side. He'll be in rehab for the next few weeks working with a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and Speech Therapist with the goal to become as independent as possible before heading home (scheduled for Friday, April 7).

While he does have medical insurance, he will have a hefty bill with co-insurance payments when all is said and done. We are also going to be purchasing some equipment for the house to help him get around more safely. The last thing we want for him to have to worry about when he gets home is paying hospital bills - he just needs to focus on getting better! So, we would love to try and raise money to help cover these costs for him.
