Medical Expenses for group home care

If you know my mom, Elma, you know she’s one to be the first to offer help when someone is in need. She has such a big heart and always wants to help others. If you know about her recently, you know she’s been through a lot these past few years and unfortunately we she is going through even more hard times. About a month ago, I took her to the hospital, per doctor recommendation, because she couldn’t walk on her own. She fell twice on her own at home and felt extremely weak. After about a day in the ER they moved her up to a room and did an initial physical therapy session to see how she was doing. She walked with maximum assistance and afterwards was not able to walk on her own again. Next day they want to discharge her because according to them she was fine. When transportation arrived to get her in a wheel chair, she told them she was too weak to walk but they made her try and she ended up breaking her ankle because they wouldn’t listen. She got surgery and is at the moment, in a Rehab Facility that wants to discharge her this Thursday because she is not able to apply weight to the foot with the broken ankle. Because of the amount and extent of care she needs she is recommended to be in a Group Care home. Unfortunately insurance doesn’t cover this and assistance from the government is a long waiting process. My family, my mother and I would greatly appreciate any help you can give to go towards the monthly payment for her being in a group care home. She is set to be discharged 2/17/22 and need as much help because they want to money upfront. The costs are about $3,000 a month, we don’t know how long she’ll have to be there and we cannot do it alone. Thank you in advance.
