Medical Expenses for Gingy aka Aidan
Donation protected
Aidan Frey, also called Gingy, is the 3 year old son of Andrew Frey and Jessica Hupfer. Around the end of May, after taking him to the doctor for stomach pains he had x-rays and labs taken . X-rays confirmed that Aidan has a large mass and needed to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, OH.
Shortly after arriving at UH, Aidan had a biopsy done on the mass and a bone marrow biopsy, which confirmed his mass is cancerous. Doctors also put in a central line for his treatments.
Pathology reports confirmed that Aidan has Neuroblastoma, cancer of the adrenal glands. The Neuroblastoma is a very wide spread of a type of cancer so there are a few extra testing to better clarify the exact level/stage he is. Due to his age and the size of his mass he is classified as high risk which mean he has an aggressive form of cancer.
Aidan has already begun his chemotherapy treatments. His bone marrow and MIBG were both negative, which means his cancer is not spreading and is just in the 1 area. He has a blood clot, but doctors say it is small and is not concerning right now. They will do another ultrasound in a few weeks to see if it's gone or changed in size.
We all know that times are tough for everyone right now due to coronavirus and everything else. We are asking for any donation that can help this family so that they do not have unnecessary stress during this time. Every dollar will help them to continue to be with their son during his time in the hospital, his treatments, and anything else they may need. If you cannot afford a financial contribution, please consider sharing with your friends and family, or requesting items like gas card donations from local businesses or restaurant gift cards to help ease their burden.
