Medical Expenses for Florentino Cruz

On Tuesday, April 05, 2022, Florentino was hit by a big branch from a tree while working outside his normal place of work, he went home to sleep without noticing the danger he was about to get into. He woke up around 9:30 PM and noticed he was unable to walk and his speech was slow. He was taken to Central WA Hospital only to find out he had internal bleeding and lots of damage to his brain after he received a scan. He was taken to Seatle via helicopter and spent 3 months trying to recover. He is now paralyzed and cannot speak. He requires 24-hour attention and the situation had taken a big toll on the family. Doctors are saying he will never be the same, but his family still has faith he will get through this.

El dia martes 5 de abril a Florentino se le callo un pedaso de arbol en la parte atras de su cabeza. Se fue a su casa pensando que todo estaba bien a dormir, pero no se imaginaba lo que se venia. Se desperto alrededor de las 9:30 PM con dolor y noto que no pidia caminar y su voz estaba lenta. Lo llevaron al hospital de Central WA Hospital donde descubrieon que tenia derrame de sangre interna y daño a su cerebro. Lo enviaron a Seattle y la familia paso 3 meses despues que lo operaron para tratar de recuparse. Ahorita su cuerpo esta paralizado y no puede hablar. Requiere atencion las 24 horas del dia y toda esta situacion a sido devastadora para la familia, no solo en lo emocional si no en lo financiero. Los doctores no le dan muchas esperanzas de recuperacion pero la familia tiene fe.

We are raising funds to help support Florentino and his family while he is unable to work. The funds will help with unforeseen medical expenses, out-of-work assistance, and other immediate needs. Since he was injured outside his workplace the insurance is not covering all of his extended medical fees.

Estamos tratando de recaudar fondos para Florentino y su familia que no han podido trabajar. Los fondos ayudaran para gastos que no son cubiertos por la aseguranza y gastos imediatos. El se lastimo fuera de su trabajo y a sido muy dificil todo este proceso con sus gastos medicos.

We all know that Florentino is strong and will bounce back. Let’s ensure that his recovery will be a strong one by supporting him during his time of need.
