Hi, my name is Edward about three years ago. I lost my right leg below the need due to an infection that I was fighting for about a year. This last August I suffered from weeping edema, causing blisters to form on my left leg for the fluid to find a way out, during the treatment of this I developed a foot ulcer which we noticed in November and I told my podiatrist I wanted to fight to keep that leg well after spending at least five stays in the hospital I was in the hospital again on January 1 through the 10th and then on February 5 after getting up and making a short walk to my bathroom and back into my bedroom I lost my breath and couldn’t regain it. My oxygen levels dropped down to 60 and we had to call an ambulance that I know that I was going to be in the hospital all the way through March 1 , my birthday was February 7 and that’s when I got the news that I was going to lose the leg. The first surgery was on 8 February, which was a guillotine amputation, leaving the wound open so my leg would drain and to prevent the infection from going further up After I lost about 40 pounds of water and stabilized, they did a revision and removed the rest of my leg from below the knee during the first surgery. The surgeon said that they were afraid that my wife was going to become a widow. Through the grace of God, I survived both And have been home for two weeks but there are a lot of medical bills setting up and if you come across this post and have the means and the desire to help, I would greatly appreciate it
