Medical expenses equipment and travel to specialis

Hi it’s Shilo here To my friends and family as they say it takes a village to raise a child. Unfortunately we received news the other morning that our five year old daughter had type 1 diabetes. Her blood sugar levels were extremely high, her pancreas was shutting down, and we had to immediately get her to the hospital. We were then told that they don’t have the proper children’s unit here so my wife Kristie and daughter Desiree were rushed by ambulance to Nanaimo where joined by Kailee and I we spent many days in thehospital. Desiree had to go through a bunch of testing while Kristie and I got a crash course in dealing with a diabetic 5 year old and learning all there is to know about type 1 diabetes. 

 I’m asking for help to cover our bills, travel expenses, and insulin equipment while dealing with our daughters medical condition. We are going to be spending lots of money for a while to travel back and fourth to see specialist which the majority of are out of town. We need to be educated on our new role as caregivers and parents to a child with a life threatening disease and it is full of extra costs that we can’t afford right now. Kristie has a heart of gold and is always selflessly helped any one of her friends or even strangers that she could. Kristie has had to quit her job to deal with this and with hotels and travel back-and-forth it’s a hard one for us to pay for the next Little bit. 

I’m hoping all of our friends and family can contribute something so that I can give it to Kristie and alleviate some of the pressure knowing that she has nothing to worry about financially for the next while and can take time off of work and just deal with our daughter.
