I am Maria Cabrera and my husband is David Lanphier, Jr. I and my sister-in-law, Krista Lanphier, are asking for your help in aiding David in his healing process as he battles stomach cancer. David's situation is unique because he survived  bilateral retinoblastoma, a rare childhood cancer, that unfortunately carries a high likelihood of secondary cancer for adult survivors. The great  news is that he is in excellent hands with the physicians at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  

David is strong and we are routing for his body's ability to healthfully integrate the cancer treatments. Our hope with this campaign is to  reduce any financial burdens and stress so David can fully focus on healing and recuperating from his chemo and surgery.

Funds from this GoFundMe campaign will be used to pay for medical bills and other unexpected financial needs. Money received that is far above the campaign amount will be used to set up financial security for David's future medical needs as well as for a donation to Pediatric Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
