Help support the Danko Family

Our mom, Darla Danko, has been battling tongue cancer for the past three years. She is now bedridden at home and receives daily hospice care, which is made up of very short nurse visits. Her insurance does not cover round-the-clock care in-home, which she needs given her decline during the last few months.

Due to her condition, our dad Mike is now serving as her full-time caregiver and is unable to work. He does not have access to paid family leave, so he has been left with the difficult decision to take the unpaid leave and continue caring for Darla while trying to make ends meet. 

Before long, we will be forced to move her to a full-time hospice care facility. Transportation to the facility is not included, so we will have to pay out of pocket to cover that expense.

We know this is a very hard time for everyone due to COVID-19 but if you are able to help, we would appreciate any amount that you can give. All donations will be used to help our dad keep up with the bills while on family medical leave, as well as cover any other necessary expenses that are required.

We will use any remaining funds for a memorial service and cremation when the time comes. Please share this page with your family and friends, and pray for Darla as she continues her fight.
