Medical Expenses for Cheko & Maria

Juan Emeterio Moreno, known as Cheko by friends and family, is a wonderful 15 year old boy who has struggled with Cerebral Palsy. Despite his disabilities, Cheko has always been a social butterfly, making conversation with everybody and cracking jokes. He has always known how to put a smile on someone’s face. He has fought hard his whole life to overcome his disability, and to prove every doctor wrong.
It is with great pain and heavy hearts that we come to friends, family, and the community to reach out for your help. On Thursday, June 27th, Cheko was rushed to the emergency room unresponsive. He is currently fighting for his life in the ICU in Austin and the results are uncertain. The family is hoping and praying for the best outcome at this time.
Unfortunately, the next evening his mother, Maria Mendez, suffered from a mild stressed induced heart attack. She is thankfully now stable and recovering. Maria has worked extremely hard for her family over the years, and we hate to see her down like this.
We are asking the community for help with medical expenses - any thing helps! If you are unable to donate, please lift this family up in your prayers as we navigate through this extremely hard time.
UPDATE:
As of this morning, Juan is gaining conscious and responding! He is still in intensive care and is on a very long road to recovery. We appreciate the tremendous support from the community! We are praying for a speedy and smooth recovery!
