Medical expenses for Brodie’s time in CVICU at TCH

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Hearts,

With heavy hearts and tear-filled eyes, I come to you as my brother, Travis, and his fiancé, Jessica, navigate the most difficult time in their lives. Their precious baby Brodie Wade Bushman was born on December 21st, 2023 and entered this world with incredible strength and determination. However, Brodie faced an unexplainable heart condition that required him to spend the last eight days of his life in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Texas Children’s Hospital and underwent open heart surgery.

Throughout his battle, Brodie was surrounded by love, warmth, and the unwavering care of an incredible medical team. Despite the tireless efforts and dedication of everyone involved, their little warrior earned his angel wings far too soon on February 23, 2024, leaving behind an indelible mark on all our hearts.

While Travis and Jessica continue to grapple with the immense pain of this unexpected loss, they also face the daunting reality of mounting medical bills. The cost of Brodie's extensive medical care, including the surgeries, specialized treatments, and around-the-clock monitoring, has placed an overwhelming financial burden on them during this already devastating time.
