Medical Expenses for Baby Immanuel's Heart Surgeries
Donation protected
We are raising funds for Immanuel Eberly's medical expenses, who is our newborn grandson. His parents are Colin Eberly, and our daughter Ashlee Eberly.
Immanuel was prenatally diagnosed with a life-threatening congenital heart disease called Transposition of the Great Arteries, Ventricular Septal Defect (TGA/VSD). Immanuel is one of two twins with his sister, Esther.
Immanuel was expected to be taken to open heart surgery right after birth, but to make matters worst, the twins were born 6 weeks premature. This caused both of them to be in ICU at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. It also put Immanuel in a difficult scenario in which he could not get the required surgery done because he was not developed enough to survive the procedure.
This resulted in the family needing to relocate from Lancaster to Philadelphia while Immanuel went through multiple invasive surgeries to keep him stable until the open heart surgery could be performed. During this 2 month period, the family has not been able to work to provide income, and expenses have been incurring for medical bills, transportation, lodging, meals, etc.
The required surgery has been completed, but there are still many appointments to attend, and Immanuel will need one more surgery to remove a band from an artery, as well as close up multiple holes in his heart.
Thank you for your consideration in helping us to cover these costs and allow the family to focus on getting Immanuel healthy, and getting back to a normal life.
Thank you,
Eric and Wendy Leaman
