Hello, and thank you for visiting our go fund me page for Stefanie (Turbett), Christopher Lipper & their precious newborn daughter, Alita Mae! ❤
On Tuesday, January 27th, Chris rushed Stefanie to their OB's hospital. Staff assumed Stefanie had a burst appendix. For almost 12 hours they let Stefanie and Alita sit in horrible pain. When she had her emergency cesarean (c-section) the doctor realized the placenta had ruptured and Stefanie's uterus had been detached/ripped from the pelvic wall!! Stefanie luckily didn't need a hysterectomy but endured great blood loss...
However, in the other end sweet and strong baby girl, Alita, fought for a half a day drowning in blood!! The doctors said they have not ever seen a baby survive this. This baby girl, niece, cousin, & granddaughter has fought so fiercely. She has already pushed above & beyond so many detrimental barriers. We are so proud of her strength & endurance. Yet, costs have accrued exponentially with life flight for baby and an ambulance transfer for Stefanie.
As mommy, Stefanie, had a handful of blood transfusions & caring daddy Christopher slept the nights right next to his baby girl; both were being told, originally, to expect her to not thrive and have no quality of life because of potentially no brain functionality.
Through this despair & brokenness, These two exemplary parents hung onto each other, their faith, friends and family as best they could with Covid leaving them stranded alone going through this pain. Sweet momma Stefanie didn't meet her daughter for a whole day. Alita spent 3 days on a ventilator almost unresponsive. Then she started responding physically to her daddy's hand & voice, and next responding with brain wave spikes to mommy's voice, songs, & books read. Alita has made tremendous strides compared to the outstanding odds she was given.
She will continue to be in NICU & need further testing & MRI scans. As I'm sure you're aware by now the costs that this brand new little family has acquired is exponentially rising. So we are reaching out saying thank you for the prayers, love, and light. We are hanging onto the hope and faith of God's miracles. We ask if you're able to not only continue your prayers but to donate whatever is possible to this amazingly resilient little family.
Chris and Stefanie decided Alita's name early on in pregnancy. Oh, how perfectly fitting it is! ALITA: warrior angel, excellent, held high by God, noble and kind. All costs will go towards mother and daughter's ongoing medical expenses. We appreciate your help and are most grateful that she lives on.
To have get the word out you can repost this on your Facebook page! We, her two Aunties, thank you for all the love and support! Have a blessed day!
