Medical expenses for baby Aiden

Hi, my name is Nicole and fundraising for help with my grandsons medical expenses.

Baby Aiden was born September 13. He is the youngest of 4 children. Aiden has two brothers, they are 3 and 4 years old. Aiden also has a 5 year old sister.

When Aiden was born we thought all was well and a few days after Aiden was born he was discharged from the hospital to go home. All of his siblings were very excited to have their new baby brother home.

Unfortunately our beautiful little boy is very sick right now, and we not sure if he will be able to get better.

Aiden became sick at home and his parents made the decision to take him into the Yorkton hospital. The doctor in Yorkton emergency said Aiden had a serious bacterial infection and if his parents had not brought him in when they did, it would have been to late to save our baby boy. Aiden was then transferred by ambulance to the NICU in Regina. While in Regina they were able to discover that Aiden was Septic and suffering from Strep B infection. An echocardiogram was done on his heart, and it showed that there is damage to Aiden`s heart valves.

Aiden was then intubated and sent on a plane to the Children`s Hospital in Edmonton. Right now Aiden`s condition is serious, since arriving in Edmonton he has had a seizure and they are working on clearing up his infection. Aiden will probably need surgery to repair his damaged heart.

We are told that Aiden is going to have quite a few months long stay in Edmonton.

Aiden`s mom plans to stay in Edmonton with him, and Aiden`s dad will have to take a leave from work to care for their children at home.

We are unsure how much the cost for ambulance and plane ride will be.

The expenses for this are unknown and will be ongoing for a long time.

Aiden`s family need all the support they can get.

If there is anyone who can afford to donate financial support that would be greatly needed and appreciated.

We do understand that there are a lot of people who can not afford to help financially. We ask that everyone who reads this will say a daily prayer for baby Aiden or send good thoughts his way.

I never in a million years thought I would ever have to ask so many people for help like this, but I will do anything I can to find help for my son and his family.
