Hello, my name is Olivia.
Photo: me on the left, my sister Ashley on the right.
A few weeks ago my sister, Ashley, who is six weeks away from giving birth to a baby girl suffered three major strokes.
Her fiancé is raising her three children, several of which are neuro-divergent, (one is autistic and the other has ADHD) alone.
She has a daughter under three and is about to give birth to her second daughter and fourth child.
My sister suffers from a hereditary medical condition which causes her blood to be too thick and as a result the risk of blood clots is increased.
Her therapy and consequential medical bills far exceed what her fiancée can afford on welfare as he just became a full time, stay at home dad.
My sister is unable to speak and cannot communicate beyond a squeeze of the hand, writing her name and spontaneous verbal response to stimuli (she spontaneously said “oh hi” to our mother, she says “ouch” when her thick, long and textured hair is brushed).
She requires rigorous and consistent therapy to enable her brain to heal itself, this will take months.
Please consider making a donation even if it’s $2, every little bit counts and is greatly appreciated.
Thank-you for taking the time to read this, I appreciate all the support, both financial and emotional.
