Medical Expenses for Arcardio Hernandez-Villaneuve

Update: It is with profound sadness that we must say goodbye to Arcardio. He passed from this world all too soon. Arcardio was that guy. He was the glue that bonded his family. He was a leader every kitchen he worked. Never a complaint, never a task that could set him back, never a word of discontent. He was a husband, father, brother, uncle, mentor and friend. His presence in this world, while all too brief, made it a little better for all those around him. We light the candle in his memory, we grieve with his family and friends. Alongside Meehan's Public House - Vinings, 101 Steak and all of those who were touched by Arcardio we wish him slán abhaile, safe home. Funeral details will be coming in the next few days. With permission of his wife Adele, we have established this account to help raise funds to support Arcardio and his family.

On Thursday April 4th Arcardio suffered a grade 5 ruptured aneurysm in his brain. He was rushed to Northside via ambulance and transferred to Emory University Hospital in Decatur. Arcardio is currently in a medically induced coma. As of writing the pressure in his brain is still significant. He has at least 1 other aneurysm that has not ruptured and he has suffered a number of small strokes. The Doctors and medical team cannot progress in treating or diagnosing what additional damage has occurred until they can alleviate the pressure. Should Arcardio recover this will be a very long process. Many of you will know that Arcardio suffered a similar incident 6 years ago and was able to recover. We hold out hopes and prayers that he will be able to fight through this again.

In the mean time he will be out of work for the foreseeable future. Adele is spending her time with Arcardio at the hospital while he fights. The family will need financial support along side our prayers and personal assistance.

We have a starting point for fundraising of $20,000 but as you can imagine this may only be the tip of the iceberg. Please share this as much as you can. Donations of any size will go a long way.
