If you know who I am, than you definitely know who I call my wifey, best-friend-forever, soulmate, love her to the ends of infinity and beyond. Amy is one of the most generous, kind-hearted, strong-assed, most loving people I have ever known in my life.
She has been the sole caregiver on a teacher’s salary for both her parents, who have undergone many medical issues over the past few years, and this past Saturday, her dad heartbreakingly passed away. There is nothing she wouldn’t do for her father, and was there up until the very end to help him transition over.
Amy pays many of her parent’s bills, but relied on her father’s social security pension for her mom’s health insurance and house payments. Her mom is currently too young to qualify for his social security as a widow, and even disabled, she doesn’t have a work history to qualify for disability, being a stay-at-home mom. We are pursuing different avenues in this, but until we hear back, I wanted to help raise some funds to help cover medical expenses for the next couple of months, since there will be no income coming in.
If you have any extra dollars, or:
- Know of a dentist that might do some pro-bono work for Amy’s mom’s teeth. She can only chew with the front teeth right now
- Know of a reliable, cheap person that can replace a roof
- Know any tips or tricks to qualify for disability with no prior work history.
