They Say that life can change in the blink of an eye, and two months ago that’s exactly what happened to me. In between shifts while riding a bike through dc, I was struck by a car that ran a light. Thrown from my bicycle with the full force of the car, as I landed on the pavement my wrist was dislocated and shattered, causing me to need multiple hospital visits, surgery, and ongoing therapy. I am now partially deaf in my right ear, and have nerve damage as a result. Not to mention the difficulty in making ends meet during the past months, unable to work and provide for myself. Asking others to provide is one of the last things I wanted to do, but with bills piling up , and the need for physical therapy in order to one day regain the use of my hand, I find this a necessity. Anyone that knows me knows that I’m not the guy to ask for handouts, nor do I plan to. I will be receiving a settlement at some point, but that could be over a year at which point is too late to help with the impending issues I’m facing currently. I plan on reimbursing each and every donation I receive one my settlement is final, but in the mean time I need financial help to get through this rough patch in my life.
