Hi.. Kimberly here, I'm not the best at wording things so bare with me, as some may know by now Todd was in a horrible wreck on our way to work Tuesday morning.. It happened about 5 mins from the house. Coming out of a turn the pickup hit bump and the back end fishtailed and hit the ditch and then a colvert and it flipped and rolled the truck. (TOTAL loss) went through a metal pipe fencing before coming to a stop. The Paramedics got there and was checking him out and seen he needed to be flown out of there because of the injury, but there was nowhere for the helicopter to land so they canceled the flight and went ahead and transported him by ambulance to the hospital here in Tyler. As soon as he arrived he went in for all the medical scans there is . Comes back to having to have emergency surgery to pretty much make him a new spine so he can sit up or have a back. He has numerous broken ribs and plates and bones crushed in back. So surgery was completed and he has rods and screw down his spine. Now he's in icu with lung and respotory problems and new problems arising. Todd is hanging on and doing everything he is supposed to with the medical team to keep new problems arising. This is a long road to getting out of the wood work and onto a recovery road. He's been in so much pain and nothing seems to help get any relief but he's pushing through. Yesterday he started with the rehab team on trying to walk again and get some movement back going. One day at a time. Now he's also fighting fluids coming in on the lungs. Phemona setting in is not a good thing with just having surgery on the back/spine and with broken ribs and all this not a good thing.
This is pretty much were everything is at in progress as I type this out and so I as most can see home recovery is going to be the hardest and losing income and then needing to find everything to get so he can have what he needs at home is going to put a tight strain on us. Many prayers are needed for this long road and any help will be greatly appreciated and a huge blessing. There's some things I've got to find and get ready for when he is able to come home when ever that might be. It's too soon to tell. There's no way he can make it up the steps into the house so I've got to find a way to get a little ramp built so he can get up in the house. Losing time from work (being the only little income now) so we can get him to and from recovery and all of this progress is going to be very hard financially. And paying for all the therapy for him to continue to recover is needed. So I'm reaching out here to ask for a blessing and prayers and I do not like asking but the Good Lord knows we need all the help we can get right now in this fIghting time The Lord knows what we have need of and if we ask he provides. So I'm reaching out for a helping hand at this time and I can't be more thankful for any type of help or prayers and or donations.
These donations will be used for daily living expenses getting to and from hospital and visits and medical so we can get him therapy once released. Thank you all so kindly.
