Medical expenses and house remediation
In November 2020, our house flooded and we were forced out of our home for 7 months. When we moved back in, my wife started to feel sick which led to mold testing 3 times. We found out our house had 2 molds that were related to black mold and were told to move out as soon as possible. We moved out immediately. Even after moving, my wife of 2 and 1/2 years, Kayla, continued to become sicker in addition to intensifying other health issues. After a week out of the mold she, again, continued to worsen and was admitted to the hospital. After being there for 7 days, she passed away on 7/28 at 32 years of age, due to the severity of her illnesses. My grief is so intense, I can't believe this has happed.
I am in great need and prideful. This is not easy for me but pride leads to the fall of man and asking for help is completely out of my comfort zone. I was raised to be independent, self sufficient and to have a strong work ethic. Unfortunately, I am prideful, but at this time I need so much help. I don't want to file bankruptcy and there is no way I can cover all of my current debt alone. I feel lost on so many levels right now, so I am turning to you.
Kayla was the most influential and genuine person anyone could have had the pleasure of meeting. She changed my life and many others. I am lost without her. She was my rock, my soul mate, and the love of my life. I am a better man to have had her as my wife.
My financial needs include:
-remediation and rebuild to the house which insurance will not cover, est. $22,000.00
-prior medical bills, approx. $40,000.00
-burial expense $4,000.00
-current medical bills, unknown at this time (I will update as I know).
I'm sure there will be other expenses that I have not thought of being in my current state of grief.
If you are led to help me, your donation will not be wasted and your gift, no matter the size, will be greatly appreciated.
Please keep me and our families in your prayers.
Thank you in advance.
