Hi, Early Saturday morning, my brother-in-law Ryan Abee was involved in a horrible car accident on I-485 in Matthews NC while heading into work. We don't know all the details but we do know that he was rushed to Atrium Main downtown Charlotte with life threatening injuries.

God was definitely with him yesterday to say the least. In surgery, the doctors reconstructed his right ankle, right knee and the ligaments holdings it all together. He has an external fixator placed in/on his leg for the next 6 weeks. After the 6 weeks, he will be re-evaluated to see if additional surgeries are needed.

He also has a slight brain bleed and a nasty gash on his head. Neurology is evaluating the brain bleed for now but surgery may be needed in the future if that does not heal on its own. Ryan has a difficult, long recovery ahead and potentially out of work for a while.
