As many of you know, Deirdre was diagnosed with an incurable form of carcinoid cancer in early 2023. Since then, she has fought bravely to overcome this disease with the latest medical treatments, including two of four major heart surgeries. She still has two more heart surgeries to go, which require travel back and forth to Emory in Atlanta multiple times a month.
