Medical Expense Help for Jason Weimer
Donation protected

We're starting a campaign to help provide some financial support, and all the prayers you have for our friends the Weimers. We have been friends since we were just little ones running around making our parent's crazy. Sometimes in life unfortunately when it rains it pours and the Weimer family could use our help.
In mid September Jason was admitted to the hospital for severe stomach pain and it was discovered that he had a large blood clot in his small intestine that was deeply embedded with no real access to break it up. The doctors thought the best option would be to administer blood thinners in the attempt to try and get it to pass. The doctors were optimistic that the blood clot would pass rather quickly, however this has not been the case. Jason has been in the hospital for almost a month because again, when it rains it pours. The blood clot caused complications with eating, which lead to a feeding tube, which lead to his gallbladder shutting down which lead to kidney stones. At this time he is surviving and fighting with multiple tubes with the intent that in November they will hopefully have him in a stable enough condition to do the gallbladder surgery.
He is not out of the woods, but fortunately this week he was able to be released from the hospital. Even with health insurance, the hospital bills are going to be astronomical for Ivy and Jason and are already starting to trickle in. Between hospital bills and time off work for both of them the financial hit is going to be significant.
We are hoping that we can help ease some of the financial stress so that Jason can do his part and heal up so Kathy can readily get back to harassing and teasing him without feeling guilty about it :) Please consider donating to help lift the burden for them - any amount is amazing and we are extremely grateful for it. If you can't donate financially, please keep the Weimers in your prayers and pray that Jason continues on the path to recovery.
Thanks again for your help - Kathy & Emily
