Help For Carlos Salazar's Family

Carlos Salazar (see photos). My husband. My best friend. My 2 year old daughter’s daddy. My soulmate. Our world.

Carlos is currently in ICU battling COVID pneumonia. The doctors are still unsure what the outcome will be. Carlos contracted COVID-19 & went to the emergency room on August 11, 2021 due to his oxygen levels dropping. Carlos was sick, but we WERE able to FaceTime and navigate our way through what was supposed to be just a few days in the hospital. After the first week, he started getting worse. He was put on a ventilator on August 27th, 2021. The doctors say that his lungs need to heal from the damage the virus did to them. He has been in a medically induced coma ever since. He has developed several blood clots in different locations and his carbon dioxide levels have been greatly increased.

Several days ago the doctors suggested he have a tracheotomy performed to give the ventilator a break and also Carlos’ body.

We are now on day 38 of this real life nightmare & have no clear answers yet. We are a Christian family and we have been praying constantly to heal Carlos & bring him home. It is just me and our 2 year old daughter and I am a stay at home mother. I’ve contemplated making this, but things are beginning to get a little too scary for me on top of watching my husband fight for his life.

I am in the process of filing the necessary paperwork to apply for assistance for the medical portion but these doctors & hospitals want their payments sooner than later.

All donations will be going towards the medical bills & expenses that have occurred over the past month with Carlos being in the hospital. I never imagined that he would be there for this extended period of time.
